GIMNAZIJA JESENICE IS A GOOD CHOICE.

Teenagers usually do not know, where they should continue their studying after finishing primary school. I was also in a similar situation. Now I am student of Gimnazija Jesenice and I enjoy my life. I think Gimnazija Jesenice is a good choice.

Students of Gimnazija Jesenice hava a lot of posibilities after finishing this school. We can continue our education at any university. So if you do not know what to do in your life, you should join here. Teachers consolidate student’s work habits and prepare them for further study. Students have to learn regularly to get learning habits. Teachers are pleasant and understanding. They are happy, if they can help students with additional explanation. Above all, tests are not as difficult as you might expect. Most teenagers think we are learniig only useless things, but that is not true. We also make websites, which definitly comes in handy in your life.

We students also have a lot of time, especially during  lunch break. We are free for 45 minutes. We can eat in a school cafeteria. Some students leave school and go to some restaurants for lunch. I often go to a nearby bakery or to the surrounding restaurants. Most students are quite friendly and helpful and the older ones like to help the younger ones.

To my mind, there is no better school than Gimnazija Jesenice. This is all evident from the student’s, when the are walking the corridors. As I said : ”With knowledge to the stars and beyond”.

A REPORT ON GIMJES CAREER DAY

INTRODUCTION

This report is focusing on a career day at Gimnazija Jesenice, that took place on 14th and 15th February. The purpose of the report is to present the course of the day to parents of future students, who did not attend the day. This report is written by a student of Gimnazija Jesenice for the purpose of ITS.

PRESENTATION IN THE GYMNASIUM

Parents and children gathered in the gym. There were various stands with free publications and school newspapers before entering. Students also gave away souvenirs such as ballpoint pens and keyrings. Prior to the start of the programme, students decided on deatiled presentation of sports or general class. The programme started with a speech by the head teacher mag. Lidija Dornig. She greeted all future students and welcomed them at our school. The teachers presented the basic  information, like how to enroll and which qualifications are you needed. Other information was presented in class. The choir of Gimnazija Jesenice  sang some famous Slovenian and English songs.  In the end the acrobatic group Leteči medvedki showed various adrenaline and dangerous acrobatic tricks.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE SCHOOL

Parents and children accompanied by the students were given a tour of the school. They were shown different classes and in each class they listened to the explanation about various school excursions . In the school hallways they were shown an exhibition of works of art by gimjes students. The tour ended in the school cafetaria. The school chef showed them how to choose a favourite menu and how to log in to obtain it. There was a small surprise- chocolate cakes.

CONCLUSION

In my opinion, it is very important to enroll at a good school. Therefore, the presentation should be as long as possible and more valuable information about the school should be provided.  The performance in gym well organised by teachers and students. There could be more guided tour groups,  since they were rathere too full the pupils.
